Rail Hail or Shine traces the 60-year history of the Freemans Reach Rural Fire Service (formerly known as the Freemans Reach Volunteer Bushfire Brigade).
 
The book traces the brigade from its humble beginning following the timeline of progress, the personalities and characters within the brigade, and some of the stories that have come from the different eras.
