Sydney Rock is a prominent landmark astride the highway and railway between Hazelbrook and Lawson in the Blue Mountains. It required massive engineering of the road and railway at this point. The Rock serves as a focus of the history of that engineering, as well as the geology and natural history of the surrounds.
